It was an honor to work with the AHT team and help them develop textiles that spoke to their cultural heritage. I’m very proud of the care that the LDI team took in producing patterns that were worthy of this amazing facility.

About the project:

Anishnawbe Healthcare leaders wanted to incorporate sacred cultural references in the design of their indigenous centre. They needed a partner to deliver custom upholsteries that also met rigorous healthcare standards. The LDI design team worked with leadership on design concepts and inspiration. We ordered and photographed tobacco, sage, fir, and sweet grass and drew custom prints that were later manipulated into patterns uniquely representative of the brand’s cultural heritage.
