Our Commitment

Sustainability is a top priority for LDI when developing new products. Our Innovations Center is committed to minimizing the negative impact that material manufacturing and production have on human health and the environment.
LDI’s Sustainability Action Plan is a crucial first step in making a global difference. The Plan sets a standard that guides our daily activities and fosters transparency as we develop new material platforms and sustainable workflows.
We consider nine primary criteria related to toxicity, aiming to achieve these key targets (when technology allows) without compromising the performance of the finished product:
• California Prop 65 Compliant
• Low VOC emissions: California 01350 Compliant
• REACH Compliant
• Practice Greenhealth’s Healthy Interiors Compliant (HHI Safer Chemicals Challenge)
• Living Building Challenge Red List Compliant
• Flame Retardant-Free: California AB-2998 Compliant
• PVC-Free (no vinyl)
• PFAS-Free (no PFC’s)
• Antimicrobial-Free (no biocides)
To assist specifiers in their selection process, we have standardized the following material disclosure forms:
• Health Product Declaration (HPD)
• LEED Declaration
We are also investing in streamlined production processes to minimize waste and energy consumption. By pioneering a print-on-demand approach to upholstery, we reduce our carbon footprint and allow for 5-yard minimums on customs. This process has eliminated hundreds of thousands of yards of material from landfills and consumes much less energy than traditional printing methods.
When you choose LDI products, you can be confident that sustainability is a core company value. We continuously strive to meet and exceed global standards, ensuring that the environment, human health, and safety are central to our daily decisions.
Your trust is important to us, and we appreciate any opportunity to earn it.
